About Us

In 2013 the International Emmy Award winning Louis Elman, along with Nick Kray, Dave John, and Abigail Barbier founded the Louis Elman ADR Academy.

It was designed to be able to teach the skills necessary to voice actors that wanted to work within the field of Motion Picture and Television.

Up to the inception of the ADR Academy voice acting work was a closely guarded skillset. With a small number of highly talented voice actors working on the majority of productions for Film and Television, protecting their industry and their living. These voice actors had a good reason to protect their specialised skills, because up to only a decade ago the amount of Film and Television projects being created was extremely limited compared to today.

With the advent of Video On Demand services and Pay Per View the amount of content created expanded rapidly, and therefore a skills shortage was created within the work of screen voice acting.

So we created the very first ADR Academy to teach these skills to anyone who wanted to become a voice actor.

Today, more and more content is being created so the Louis Elman ADR Academy has become a necessary training ground for Film and Television Voice acting work.
